Although the photo was taken in Portugal, I'm originally from Brazil, specifically from the south.
My journey into technology began in my childhood, sparked by countless nights playing Age of Empires 2 (Age 2) with my father. He was passionate about game modding, and through him, I was introduced to Genie, a modding tool for Age 2. This early exposure to modifying game mechanics planted the seeds of my fascination with technology.
As I grew older, my interests evolved beyond game modifications. During high school, I ventured into game development using Unity 3D and modeling with Blender. I was also deeply involved in competitive gaming, being part of an amateur CS:GO team.
My technical journey took a significant turn when I joined the robotics program in high school. It was there that I began to understand programming, working with C and C#. What was once just copying and pasting code transformed into comprehension.
When the time came for higher education, I faced a choice between scholarships in Computer Science or Digital Games. I chose Computer Science, a decision that set me on my current path. Since then, I've immersed myself in countless hackathons, innovative projects, and meaningful collaborations. These experiences, along with the incredible people I've met along the way, continue to fuel my passion for technology and drive me forward in my career.
EXPERIENCE
Lead Frontend Engineer – Wedy (Remote)
- Led the development of Wedy Pro, a platform for wedding planners, which increased company revenue by over 60% and expanded customer flow to Wedy's main product.
- Successfully led the end-to-end implementation of multiple features, including payments, contracts, customer management, checklists, notifications, and more.
- Collaborated closely with stakeholders and designers to ensure the delivery of high-performance features aligned with design guidelines.
- Mentored and led two junior developers.
- Assisted in establishing a cohesive design system across products to ensure consistency and improve user experience.
- Continuously monitored and evaluated library updates to ensure the project remained up to date with the latest features and performance improvements.
Software Developer - SAP HCM (Remote)
- Led 4 developers in the frontend team on a project for tax control and payroll calculations, focusing on delivering a new design in a mix of React and SAPUi5.
- Worked in a full-stack capacity, integrating backend and frontend components to ensure seamless functionality and performance.
- Established code standards and best practices for frontend development, promoting consistency and improving overall code quality
- Collaborated closely with global teams to ensure alignment in the frontend decisions
Software Developer Internship - SAP IBSO (In Person)
- Contributed to multiple projects, including working on the NHL coach app (iOS/Swift) and various internal logistics projects for Brazilian companies.
- Implemented features using JavaScript and SAPUi5, providing custom solutions for clients' unique needs
- Gained experience in cross-functional projects, working with diverse teams and technologies.
Software Developer - Wedy (In Person)
- Played a key role in migrating the platform from Ruby on Rails to Vue.js, contributing across various areas of the migration process.
- Developed new features, including the creation of an e-commerce system on the site.
- Improved the gift purchasing process for couples, streamlining the user journey and increasing engagement.
- Implemented a feature that allowed wedding guests to give memory cards to the couple, directly contributing to a significant revenue increase.
